How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Pointy Beard Shape

Growing a pointy beard will take a few months to grow out, but it’s a unique look that can accentuate a triangle, diamond, or heart-shaped face.

1. Grow out your beard.

You’ll want a good bit of length at the bottom of your beard; somewhere around 4-6 inches. To do this, make sure you have a skincare routine that supports healthy growth. We suggest using a stimulating beard shampoo that promotes hair growth, followed by a beard conditioner to soften hair.

2. Keep the sides trimmed up.

As your beard grows, keep the sides trimmed shorter than the bottom part on your chin. This will give the slanted illusion of that “V” shape you need in order to get a good pointy beard. Use the wide-tooth comb side of a beard shaping tool and angle it so you’re removing more hair from the area towards your ears, and leaving it a bit longer as you get closer to your chin.

3. Style it daily.

To style your pointy beard, simply use a beard brush and a beard butter to comb your hair downward in a point, toward your chin. First, rub the beard butter into your palms and then run your fingers down your facial hair, starting at the root. Then, use the brush to smooth it out.
