How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Franz Josef Beard
Growing a Franz Josef beard is very similar to growing mutton chops, but you’ll trim it slightly differently.
1. Grow out your facial hair.
If you’re starting from a clean-shaven face, start by growing all your facial hair out to at least half an inch. If your facial hair grows slowly, use a beard oil that contains natural vitamins and essential oils to moisturize your skin and hair. This will promote healthy hair growth and prevent patchy or dry facial hair. You can also add growth supplements to your daily vitamin routine.
2. Shape the top half of your beard.
When you have a good amount of growth, use a shaping tool to create the triangle shape that connects your mustache and sideburns. Using a razor or trimmer, shave a straight line down your sideburns, all the way down to your jawline.
Then, comb your mustache slightly down and out to angle away from your face. Use the straight edge of the shaping tool to create a 45-degree angle connecting your mustache to the bottom of your sideburns. Using your razor or trimmer, remove any leftover hair within the space.
3. Shape the bottom half of your beard.
Next, you’ll want to remove all the hair from your chin, leaving only the angled portion that creates the line from your mustache to your sideburns. Then remove the stubble below your neck. Always use a safety razor and shave lube to prevent knicks, cuts, and razor burn.
4. Brush and style it as it grows.
If you’re planning to grow your facial hair out beyond half an inch or so, be sure to brush your beard daily, directing your mustache hair down and out so it blends into the lines of your sideburns. You can also use trimming scissors to remove stray hairs and finish up with beard butter for soft, smooth facial hair.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Stiletto Beard Shape
The stiletto beard works great with the right facial structure to bring everything into a central area at the chin line. Here are the steps to grow yours today.
1. Start With A Long Beard
The first thing you need to do to grow a stiletto beard is to have a nice full beard. The hairs on the chin will eventually need to be two to four inches long, so having a good beard at the start is crucial. You can take gummy supplements to help you out if you have trouble growing a thick beard.
2. Trim The Sideburns
Next, you will want to trim down your sideburns. Typically, they are thin and start short. Then they gradually get longer near the bottom of the face. Use a beard trimmer and comb or scissors to start trimming near the top of your ears. Then work your way downward, leaving a little more hair with each pass. This will give you an even fade down your sideburns.
3. Trim The Beard
As you work down your sideburns, you will want to continue the same process into your beard. At this point, you can leave the facial hairs longer until they get to their full length at the chin. Another key here is to shave more hair around the jawline and leave more around the chin. This gives it the typical point stiletto look.
4. Clean Up The Lines
Finally, you will want to finish cleaning up the lines. We recommend using a razor, quality shave lube, and a beard-shaping tool. Lather your face with the shave lube, and then use the edges of the beard-shaping tool to shave off the unwanted hair. Just follow the lines of the tool, and you’ll get perfect-looking lines in no time.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Walrus Shape
Here are the steps to grow a strong Walrus mustache.
1. Grow Out A Thick Beard
The highlight of this look is, of course, the mustache. You will need to grow a thick one because these are usually big, simulating the tusks of a walrus. The ends can extend past the center of your lips but stop at the chin, or you’ll have a different look. If you have trouble growing thick facial hair, we recommend eating gummies supplements at least once a day.
2. Trim And Style The Beard
The next step is to trim and style the mustache. Again, the width of the Walrus mustache should be just about as thick as possible. The thicker the hair, the more powerful the look. Use a beard trimmer or pick up a grooming kit to style the mustache with a comb and scissors. You can go for straight lines at the lips or let them grow wild. A beard straightener can also help if you want a smooth-looking Walrus mustache.
3. Shave Unwanted Hair
After you have styled your Walrus mustache, you will need to shave the rest of your facial hair. That means lathering up your cheeks, jawline, neck, and other areas not connected to the mustache and shaving the hair off. The clean look of the rest of your face will make The Walrus stand out.
4. Take Care Of The Facial Hair
Finally, continue to maintain the shape of your mustache and take care of it. We recommend using a beard-specific shampoo and conditioner when washing your mustache. This will give it what it needs to be nice and soft without stripping away essential oils. Wash your mustache often and then apply a small amount of beard oil once it’s been dried. This will keep it moisturized, so it doesn’t become hard and brittle.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Military Mustache Shape
The military mustache will put you in command at any event you attend. Here is how to grow one out.
1. Grow Out The Mustache
The first thing you must do is grow out a decently-sized mustache. Typically this style is kept short, so you only need to grow it to about an inch or less. We recommend growing it a little longer than you want it to be so that all of the hairs are even when you trim it. As it grows out, you can use a beard scruff tamer to keep it feeling smooth and soft.
2. Trim And Style
Next, you will want to trim and style the military mustache. Generally speaking, they are a little wider than some mustaches. The hair should start at the bottom of your top lip and extend upwards to the bottom of the nose. Hair on either side of the mouth usually does not pass the middle line of the lips. Grab yourself a grooming kit and use the scissors and comb that is included to cut away unwanted hair. Pass the hair through the comb and use the scissors to snip off the ends. Then cut straight lines at the lips and sides of the mustache to clean it up.
3. Shave Unwanted Hair
Finally, you will need to shave off the rest of the facial hair on your face. The mustache is the centerpiece, so you shouldn’t have a beard. Use the razor you got from the grooming kit and quality shave lube. Wet your face with warm water, lather it up with the lube, shave around the mustache, and then finish with cold water or an aftershave.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect military mustache:
