How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Jawline Beard Shape
Growing a jawline beard doesn't have to be difficult, but you must maintain it over time and trim away any extra hair.
1. Grow Out Your Beard With Or Without A Mustache
The first step in growing any beard style is, of course, letting those hairs build up. Once you have a solid foundation, even if it's light stubble, you can begin working on your jawline beard. As you grow your beard and begin shaving the style you want, be sure to use the right products to keep your skin healthy. We recommend using Wild Willies Beard Oil daily to keep your skin moisturized and keep your facial hair soft.
3. Shave Down The Cheek Lines
Typically, this beard type is a narrow jawline, although some people let it get a little thicker than others. Regardless, you will want to shave most of your cheek facial hairs to create the cleanest lines possible. Always use shave lube to get a close shave and avoid razor burn.
4. Maintain The Jawline Beard Shape
When it comes to facial hair styles, the jawline beard takes a little more maintenance than others. This means trimming and shaving consistently to keep up with this look. We recommend the Wild Willies The Expert Grooming Kit to stay on top of your beard game. The razor and blades will keep the rest of your face clean-shaven, and the shaping tool will help define your jawline.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect jawline beard:
- Wild Willies Shave Lube: Use this lube for a clean shave, keeping that chin beard neat and looking as sharp as possible.
- Wild Willies Beard Oil - Original: This beard oil will keep your beard hair moisturized and promote healthy facial hair growth.
- Wild Willies The Expert Grooming Kit: This beard grooming kit has everything you need to master your jawline beard, including scissors, a brush, a razor with three blades, a comb, and a jawline shaping tool.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Monkey Tail Beard Shape
Follow these steps to grow a monkey tail beard and have fun with it!
1. Grow Out a Beard and Mustache
The first thing you will need to do to grow a monkey tail beard is to grow out a full beard and mustache. The more hair you have to work with, the easier the rest of the steps will be. We recommend growing at least 3-5 mm.
If you’re having difficulty growing your beard, grab some beard growth supplements to strengthen your beard and promote natural hair growth.
2. Plan Your Monkey Tail Beard
Once your beard is nice and full, you’ll want to take a minute to plan out the monkey tail shape around your face. If you get this part wrong, you’ll end up with a disjointed beard, and the whole concept will be lost. Think about how you want the tail to look. You may even want to paint color in the areas you’ll need to cut out to get that right spiral.
3. Trim Down and Shape
If you have grown a large, unruly beard, take the time to trim it to a nice even length using a 3 to 5 mm attachment on your trimmer. Now you can start shaping the monkey's tail. The best way to do this is to slowly start cutting away the parts of your beard that you have marked or painted.
Use scissors or a beard trimmer to cut down the hair, and take your time. You may need to angle your tools differently to cut into the deeper parts of the beard without damaging the parts you want to keep. A beard shaping tool can help you keep your lines and curves as perfect as possible during this process.
4. Remove Unwanted Areas
Use a razor to remove the final hairs and the monkey tail shape around your cheek lines. Finish off by washing your face of any leftover hair. After that, you just need to maintain your new monkey tail beard with nice beard butter and oil so that it shines and is soft to the touch. Be sure to shave the “negative” parts of the design daily to keep stubble away.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect monkey tail beard:
- The Expert Grooming Kit: has everything you need to keep this intricate style cleaned up.
- Progo Beard Soft: hydrate and lock in moisture daily, keeping your beard soft and healthy.
- Beard Growth Supplements: consume daily to speed up healthy beard growth.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Full Beard Shape
Growing out your facial hair takes time, especially if you're starting from scratch. But the process of growing out a full beard is pretty straightforward:
1. Let your hair grow.
This one seems pretty obvious, but you have to let your hair grow for a period of time. Beard hair tends to grow a little bit faster than the hair on your scalp, and you can expect your beard to grow by an inch every 2-4 months.
2. Use the right products.
The difference between a good-looking beard and a patchy beard or unkempt look comes down to the beard products you use. We recommend cleansing your face daily with a facial cleanser or beard wash to keep hair follicles and pores from becoming clogged and using a quality beard oil to keep your beard hair soft and tame.
As you're in the beginning stages of growing a full beard, you probably don't need a beard brush, but as it gets longer, this may be a worthwhile investment, too.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get this facial hair style:
- Wild Willies True Cleanse Daily Face Wash: to keep your skin clean and free from clogged pores
- Wild Willies Original Beard Oil: to keep your beard looking smooth
- BONUS: Wild Willies Beard Growth Supplements: for those who are just a little bit impatient and want to speed up the growth process.
3. Keep it defined.
You don't want a scruffy beard while you're trying to grow it out, so be sure to keep it trimmed daily or every other day, depending on how quickly your hair grows. Be sure to shave your neck line and cheek lines to keep your growing beard looking well-groomed.
4. Trim it up as needed.
Yes, you need to let your beard grow, but you also need to keep your facial hair trimmed in order to get the shape and style you want. This means trimming up any stray hairs that have gone awry, and maintaining the overall oval shape of the beard. You may need to keep it shorter in some places, like around your cheeks, and longer around the chin. The Edge Beard Shaping Tool is a simple but effective tool that will give you precise lines around your cheeks and neckline and will help you trim up the sideburns and maintain symmetry while your beard grows.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Reed Beard Shape
If you’re ready to look like Mr. Fantastic himself, then check out these steps to grow this beard style:
1. Grow a large, long beard.
Begin by taking growth supplements to provide the vitamins and nutrients your hair needs to thrive. It may take some time, but continue growing your beard 4-8” long to get the effect you’re looking for here.
2. Create clean, smooth lines.
As you grow out your Reed beard, you need to keep the edges trimmed up to create clean, smooth lines. Use a beard shaping tool to ensure symmetry along the cheeks, and trim up any excess hairs with your trimmer to keep your desired length.
3. Brush daily and style.
You will also want to brush your beard daily with a proper beard brush. You could also use a beard straightener to get Reed Richards's style by straightening those beard hairs. Continue to style your beard hair as it grows by ensuring it has clean lines, sharp edges on the beard itself, and a long mustache to fall down over the chin hairs.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect Reed beard:
- Progro Beard Shampoo: Keep your beard healthy and fresh using a shampoo designed specifically for facial hair.
- Progro Beard Soft: Lock in moisture and hydrate your beard with essential oils that keep it shiny and feeling soft.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect Hulihee Beard Shape
Here are the steps to grow your Hulihee beard with a little bit of time and patience:
1. Grow a large beard
To begin, grow out a full-sized beard. You can have shorter hairs in the beginning, but eventually, you’ll need long hairs along your chin line that signifies this beard style. We recommend getting at least 2” to 4” hairs for the best effect. If you are starting from scratch, try adding a beard growth supplement to your daily vitamin routine to kickstart growth.
2. Trim and shape the beard.
Use a beard-shaping tool to help style your beard while shaving. This beard type has a nice uniform look even though the side hairs will eventually furl outward. Shave your cheeks and neckline to give it a sharper look.
3. Shave off the chin hairs.
Next, you will need to shave off the hairs on your chin to get the right look. Use a razor to remove everything from the neckline up to your lips. Some might leave a little bit of a soul patch but generally speaking; you will want to keep it low-cut or remove it completely. A good rule of thumb is to shave to the width of your lips.
4. Grow and brush out the neckline
Continue to grow out your chin line hair while grooming and styling the beard correctly. As these hairs grow longer and longer, you need to brush them outwards for the signature Hulihee beard style. You can also use a beard butter to help shape your beard in the direction you need it to go.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect Hulihee beard:
- The Expert Grooming Kit: Everything you need to shape, style, and cut your beard, including a beard shaping tool.
- Beard Butter - Cool Mint: Keep your hair healthy while removing dandruff and itchy skin.
- Beard Boost Serum: Promote a rich, thick beard with natural ingredients like caffeine and biotin.

How to Grow and Maintain the Perfect 5 O’clock Shadow
Growing a 5 o’clock shadow is quick and easy. The most important thing is to take good care of your skin so it looks clean and well-maintained.
1. If you have a beard, shave it off.
If you’ve been working on a longer beard style, it’s going to need to go. We recommend shaving it completely with a razor. Don’t forget to use a good shave lube in order to minimize knicks and cuts or the dreaded razor burn.
2. Skip shaving on day 2 and maybe day 3.
The 5 o’clock shadow looks best after a day or two of growth. While you won’t have to worry about shaving for a day or two, you should still cleanse your face daily with a facial cleanser and use a moisturizer to prevent itchy, dry skin.
3. Maintain your stubble by keeping it trimmed up.
There’s a fine line between an intentional 5 o’clock shadow and looking like you just forgot to shave for a while. Keep your stubble in check by using your trimmer with one of the lowest guards (usually a 0 or 1) every 2-3 days.
Here are some of our favorite product recommendations to help you get the perfect 5 o’clock shadow:
- Wild Willies Shave Lube: to prevent knicks, cuts, and razor burn
